In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the beloved Franciscan book “Song of the Sparrow,” the Franciscan Center is delighted to announce a very special event featuring the renowned author, poet, and Franciscan Friar, Fr. Murray Bodo, OFM.

Fr. Murray is an esteemed author of over 25 books, including the best-seller *Francis: The Journey and the Dream* and *Song of the Sparrow: New Poems and Meditations*. His profound insights have graced numerous magazines and literary journals, captivating readers with his reflections and wisdom.

On February 22, 2025, don’t miss the opportunity to participate in a day of recollection led by Fr. Murray entitled “Being and Making Peace: A sharing of the charism of Franciscan Peace-Making.” In a time when peace seems elusive and our world faces increasing discord, Fr. Facilitator: Murray Bodo, OFM, is a Franciscan priest and an award-winning author of more than 25 books, including the best-selling Francis: The Journey and the Dream, Song of the Sparrow: New Poems and Meditations, and God’s Love Song: The Vision of Francis and Clare. He writes and lectures on Franciscan spirituality and his poems, stories, and articles have appeared in magazines and literary journals. As an internationally known poet, Fr. Bodo has participated in poetry readings in Europe and the United States. He lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, spends part of the year in a hermitage in Florida writing, and has for many years led Franciscan pilgrimages. He is currently working on another volume of poetry.
