How to Find The Franciscan Center

The Center is located on the Hillsborough River on eight acres of land that are conducive to prayer and reflection. We are 10 minutes from the bus station and 15 minutes from Tampa International Airport. When exiting the airport, take the Spruce Street exit and follow directions from Clearwater below.

From Clearwater, Florida
Take Courtney Campbell Causeway to Tampa. Exit at Tampa Airport/Spruce Street. Continue onto Spruce Street, which becomes Boy Scout Blvd. and then Columbus Ave. after passing the intersection of Dale Mabry Hwy. Continue on Columbus and drive over a small bridge. At the end of the bridge make a left turn onto Riverside Avenue. Riverside Avenue is a small winding road; drive 3 blocks to Coral Ave. Make a left onto Coral, drive 2 blocks to a dead end and make a right turn onto Perry Avenue. The Franciscan Center is the third building on the left-hand side.

From St. Petersburg, Florida
Take I-275 N., cross over the Howard Frankland Bridge, and take Exit 42, Howard and Armenia Avenue(s). Drive to the second traffic light and make a left turn onto Howard Avenue. Continue on Howard Avenue to Columbus Drive and make a right turn. Continue on Columbus Drive and drive over a small bridge. At the end of the bridge make a left turn onto Riverside Avenue. Riverside Avenue is a small winding road; drive 3 blocks to Coral Ave. Make a left onto Coral, drive 2 blocks to a dead end and make a right turn onto Perry Avenue. The Franciscan Center is the third building on the left-hand side.

From Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida
Take 41 North or I-75 to I-4 into Tampa. Stay in the far right hand lane to I-275 N. (Ocala.) Take Exit 46B, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., and make a left turn onto Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd. Continue on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and make a left turn (before the Hillsborough River bridge) onto Ridge Avenue. Continue on Ridge Avenue for 8 blocks to first stop sign at Fribley Avenue. Make a right onto Fribley Avenue. Come to a second stop sign, N. Perry Avenue, and make a left onto N. Perry Avenue. Drive 2 blocks and the Franciscan Center is on the right hand side.

Take 41 North or I-75 to the Lee Roy Selmon/Crosstown Expressway (toll). Take the Downtown East/Kennedy Blvd. exit (#8) at downtown Tampa. Stay on Kennedy through downtown, across the Hillsborough River, and past the University of Tampa. Turn right onto N. Boulevard. Follow to Columbus Ave. and turn left. Immediately before the bridge, turn right onto Riverside Avenue. Riverside Avenue is a small winding road; drive 3 blocks to Coral Ave. Make a left onto Coral, drive 2 blocks to a dead end and make a right turn onto Perry Avenue. The Franciscan Center is the third building on the left-hand side.

From Orlando, Florida
Take I-4 west to 1-275 N. (Ocala). Take Exit 46B, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., and make a left turn onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Before crossing over the Hillsborough River, make a left on to Ridge Ave. At the first stop sign, make a right on Fribley, then left on Perry. The Center is two blocks down on your right.

From Ocala, Florida
Take I-275 S. to Tampa. Take Exit 46B, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., and make a right turn onto Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Before crossing over the Hillsborough River, make a left on to Ridge Ave. At the first stop sign, make a right on Fribley, then left on Perry. The Center is two blocks down on your right.
